There was a time, pre-COVID-19 when young people in Brooklyn did cool Brooklyn things like going to Brooklyn weddings. All of the New Yorkers rejoiced when they received their invitations to attend the union of Jen Wade and Thomas Kemeny at 501 Union. Everyone loves Jen and Thomas, sure. But they especially love when those two, beautiful, tall drinks of water throw a wedding less than a $10 Uber away. That alone (Jen/Thomas/Brooklyn) a worthwhile wedding makes. Of course, they didn’t stop there. There was love, and song, and vows, and tears. The Justin Chen was the emcee to top all emcees and recounted all the ins and outs of how this love began. Followed by almost as many thoughtful toasts as there were very, very attractive guests. There was a mini rage room in the middle of the dance floor with a floral pinata, that had a cool name and tradition I was too drunk to remember. Capped off with an epic dance floor and a whole lot of limbo. It was gorgeous and sexy and fun and unpredictable, just like the bride and groom.
